The passing of a loved one, often, has an interesting way of bringing family together. Although these circumstances are deeply upsetting there can still be moments of happiness and a great sense of togetherness. Through pain we are reminded of one another and the necessity we have in being together.

In this currently untitled body of work, Brilliant explores these feelings of togetherness and family growing through a loss.

Working closely with his family he creates portraits and still lives emphasizing the importance of kinship.
